Who We Are

The goal of this project is to discover and catalogue as many early American sites as possible.   From remote foundations deep in the woods to knocking on doors in historic neighborhoods, you can follow my explorations all over the Northeast and see the incredible history that's told through the recovered artifacts.

Many of the artifacts have their own histories to tell in how they related to the people who lost them, or the important events in history that influenced them.   While many of the sites I explored belonged to simple farmers who may not have played a personal role in the events around them; they were still witness to those events and were undoubtedly impacted by them.    From political tokens, to military uniform buttons, I will share their significance and the stories they tell.

Lost homesteads and structures are all around us and virtually every section of woodland I investigate has at least one hidden amongst the trees.   I'm continually amazed by just how many there are waiting to be found and the history that they represent.
